Sirius Colt Beard

The newest addition to our family!!
Sirius Colt Beard was born June 1st 2011.
He weighed 8lbs 4oz, although they told me his O2 was fine when he was born he had breathing problems for 48 hours after birth and wasn't aloud to leave the NICU until he was discharged. It was more overwhelming then having my first child.
It was almost to difficult to have visitors but everything worked out perfectly, he is in perfect health and we are just so glad he is home. Nicholas and Lucas love to try and hold him and kiss him every time they get a chance.

IF THE PANTS FIT, BUY THEM!!!

Nick in the past week has split 2 pairs of pants in the bum...
He is upset cause he is growing out of his little boy pants of 28 and now he is in a 33 (which are really to big but he wants to be safe.) We went through countless pairs of jeans today trying to find the right pair and sooo many different sizes and brands, the kids where fussing and between nicholas trying to open the door while nick was in the changing room pantless and lucas spinning in a circle on the floor WE FOUND THE RIGHT SIZE. Only to find out a couple of hours later that they are too big. He is hoping they will shrink in the washer, me too! And if not I have no other choice then to feed him cheesecake every night for dinner till they fit.

But for the moment he has something to cover his bum so I couldn't be happier.

My wonderful husband Nicholas Beard ll

Such a good daddy!!

Nick with Nicholas
Nick has always been such a good daddy. Even when he had two full time jobs and only slept about 4 hours a day he always made sure he had time to spend with his kids.
When Lucas was in the hospital and Nick had to work, no matter how late it was after work he would always make sure to come back so he could kiss his little guy good night!
As for the husband part when I've been up with the kids at night or not feeling well, with out asking he will get them in the morning and just wait till I wake up, even when he hasn't slept for 36 hours.
He is such an amazing husband and daddy I couldn't ask for more!!!

Thinking of Travis.

A little boy just passed a little over a week ago after a surgery to fix his HLHS CHD. Im not able to stop thinking of him and his family. This was on one of the Team Travis pages I follow and I thought it was so amazing I had to share.

Letter From Heaven

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness;
Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on.
I need you here badly, you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man,"

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street
and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go....from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

NOT ANOTHER DIAPER RASH!!

Lucas has a diaper rash and nick was trying to find cream to put on it last night, he didn't realize that what he was putting on it is something we would put around his stoma, something the wound team would call a crust, something THAT DOESN'T COME OFF!!! Its a combination of a critic-aid and a powder. Now its on broken skin on his bum bum and it wont wash off not even in the bath. On his stoma it would just peel off because the skin was so exposed. Now its just stuck....

Family Fun

We had so much fun at the circus.

 Nicholas begged to go to the circus everyday for about a week after we went.

 Lucas loves watching the lights and the dirt bikes.
